ABOUT ME
I have always felt an emotional connection with the visual beauty of this earth, but it wasn't until my wife and I were stationed at Pearl Harbor in 2004 that I bought my first film SLR and began a wonderful journey of capturing this awe-inspiring world.
I was stationed onboard USS Los Angeles (SSN 688) and fortunately by having a great chain of command, I became the ship's official photographer, shooting images of daily life aboard a nuclear submarine. I also shot various military ceremonies and functions.
My work has been published in Sea Magazine, local newsletters in Yokosuka, Japan, Hawai'i Navy News, and one image was featured on the Navy.mil home page.
Karen and I have recently returned to the Charleston, SC area where I was stationed in 2002-2003. It's only now by looking with a photographic eye that I see the rich, beautiful surroundings and heritage that South Carolina has to offer.
